TPT Investment Management strengthens investment capabilities
TPT Investment Management (TPTIM) is please to announce that Martin Shimell has joined the business as Senior Investment Manager.
TPT Investment Management (TPTIM), the fiduciary management company and part of the TPT Retirement Solutions Group, one of the UK’s leading providers of workplace pensions is announcing Martin Shimell has joined the business as Senior Investment Manager.
In his new role, Martin is responsible for leading TPTIM’s portfolio management activities, the development of innovative investment strategies and helping to guide the team in carrying out its fiduciary duty across economic cycles. He will report to Peter Smith, Head of Investment at TPTIM.
Martin will be able to draw on a wealth of investment experience in his new role. With more than 15 years in the industry, his expertise will be an asset in achieving TPTIM’s growth plans. Prior to joining TPT, Martin served as an investment specialist in the OCIO team at Schroders Investment Management.
Before this, Martin worked in the in-house pensions and investments team at Centrica, focusing on strategic asset allocation and the effective implementation of their LDI strategy. Martin began his career as an analyst at Mercer, before spending nine years at Willis Towers Watson as an investment consultant.
Martin’s appointment comes at an important time for TPTIM as it has recently launched several new collective investment funds for UK pension schemes, including a Real Assets Fund and a Private Credit Fund.
